"Sometimes women need not only the permission to be creative-we know, on some level, that we have that-but the grace to be creative as well, and incentive and even a push.
Art Camp for Women gives us all of the above plus freedom from all of our ingrained excuses.
We will allow our responsibilities; to family, housework, meals, dishes, friends, even television viewing, to distract us from what our soul yearns to do.
Art Camp shuts those responsibilities out of our lives and says, "Listen to your soul."
--Lucy, TX
"I was a bit leery of coming to Art Camp alone, not knowing anyone. But the welcoming, warm acceptance by the staff and the friendliness of the other campers has made this a wonderful, relaxing experience for me. Every woman needs such a retreat!"
--Katie, NJ
"I can't wait to get among my friends...The first thing they will hear about is how wonderful it was to have seven whole days to do nothing but art. What a luxury. My other world seemed far away. I am going home relaxed. I have a suitcase full of all the art pieces I created and a head full of new things learned, new friends met and many great memories. "
--Joan, CA
"I am usually a poor traveler - the day I arrive in a distant land, I start counting the days until I can go home. But not at Art Camp. Each day was a joy and I was so glad to be here." --Nancy, CA
When we asked, "What was the best thing that happened so far (during the week at Art Camp)?" This is what our Campers had to say:
"I love being in the mountains, walking/living among the aspen" --Joan Grady
"Getting into Art Journaling" --Ellen Berry
"Art Camp awakened my creative priorities." --Marilyn, MI
"The inspiration and the time to work on something new. I loved that." --Nancy Bruce
"The Art Camp was magnificent. I was amazed at the amount of materials the instructors brought and the high level of instruction. There was so much to do, there was never time to worry about how I was doing. I could simply concentrate on creating!" Stephanie Roth
"My coaching session was very helpful. I (now) have some goals for my retirement and sources to help me along the way. Thanks, Lori" Carol Brand-Twa
"The food and hiking vistas are alone worth the price of admission!" Ellen Berry
When asked, did you experience a new level of creativity at Art Camp? Campers responded:
"I was a rookie so I could only go "up". I definitely reached my goals and then some...What a week! I was worried that I would fee very inadequate when it came to art. I came to learn and that's exactly what I did. I never once felt "out of place". It was great having experienced artists with non-experienced artists. We learned together, shared ideas, and helped each other. The instructors and organizers were amazing. I've never seen such intelligent, resourceful women do so much brain storming in one week. I was overwhelmed and excited at the same time." Carol Brand-Twa
