Welcome to the Art Camp Journal Project!
After watching the movie “1000 Journals” we got excited about the idea of creating small art communities around the women who have come to Art Camp.
One thing that all alumni report back to us about Camp is how much they enjoyed the camaraderie of other women artists. They often say how difficult it is to fit in an art practice or habit, when they are back home and by themselves.
The Art Camp Journal Project is meant to help you create a little “art camp” where you live by sharing the journal with family and friends – supporting you and your art between Camps.
We’re starting this project by sending a journal to Art Camp Alumni. If you have not received a journal yet, or you are not an Art Camp Alumni and you would like to participate, please email us at: to place your name on a wait list to receive a journal.
How the Art Camp Journal Project works:
- You receive your journal in the mail sent with love from us!
- You complete 2 to 3 pages or page spreads. Click here if you want a refresher about Art Journaling.
- Pass the journal on to 3 to 5 people in your community for them to do the same. Who would you like to get to know better through art? A neighbor? A girlfriend? Your mom? Your daughter? Your cousin in Texas or New York?
- Take digital photos or scans of your pages and email them to
and reference your journal # in the subject line.
- Weekly journal prompts and images will be posted on our blog to inspire you and keep you going.
- When the journal is full, bring it back to Art Camp or mail it to us at: Art Camp for Women, 8444 Pinion Drive, Boulder, CO 80302
By participating, you will know yourself as an artist who enhances art in yourself and in your community. Thanks for playing and thanks for growing your art community.
