What the Week Looks Like
Jumping in to the first quick project!
On your first day at Camp you will arrive between 3:00 and 5:00 p.m. via shuttle or car. We will welcome you and show you to your room. Then there is a short art project to help you get your feet on the ground. At 5:00 everyone will assemble for orientation, introductions and surprises over wine, fruit and cheese. At 6:00 Dinner will be served. After dinner we will play a short color game and you can settle in before dessert is served at 8:30
Your Meals: Our Breakfast includes your choice of a variety of fruit, yogurt, cereal, breads, jams and more including made-to-order eggs. Breakfast is available from 7:30 until 8:30. Lunch is served at noon. Happy Hour is at 4:30 or 5:00 and Dinner is at 6:00. Dessert will be available by 8:30 every evening. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day to keep you energized and ready to play.
Each morning, you may (if you wish) participate in our before breakfast Sun Salute, a gentle morning Yoga stretch. You can often fit in a morning walk between breakfast and class - and one of us will always be happy to go along!
Breakfast Buffet
Day 2 onward: Morning classes will start at 9:00 and go until noon.
Afternoon classes will start at 1:00. The afternoon class sessions will last either 3 or 4 hours depending on which Camp you are registered in.
After dinner, except for your first evening, we will have open art studio every evening.
We will organize to have Art Journaling in the main lodge as well as have the studio open for working on your other art projects. We will organize some journaling exercises or games in case you aren’t sure how to get going on your own. This is one of the most fun parts of camp - puttering around in your art and chatting with the others.
Day 5 Classes and Activities: The art room will be open and this is the time to finish up the art project started with our guest artist. Both resident artists will be available to help when you get stuck.
Mimosas Anyone?
Bonus Day – If you are registered for either of our “The Works” Camps, on your fourth day there will be art activities just for you while the other campers come and go. Breakfast and lunch will be at the same times, and at happy hour you will be able to meet all the new campers. The studio will be open for you that evening while the newbies play the color game. You may play the color game again if you wish to.
Metal, wood and time
Art Show Extraordinaire for your last full day at camp, happy hour is incorporated into our Art Camp Art Show. You will be amazed at the quality and quantity of art produced during your time at camp. Our chef will out do herself with a delicious goodie that is an art form in itself.
Going Home day: Time to go home, sigh. We will have our last breakfast buffet and then take those of you going on the shuttle down to the pick up point. The shuttle picks up at 9:00 a.m. so there won’t really be time to linger. Those of you who arrived by car will have a little extra time so may be able to squeeze in one more walk and then we will help you load up your suitcases and get ready for your drive.
