Things I Should Have Asked
1. Is everything really included in the tuition? Tuition includes everything* we could think of; the essentials – lodging, meals, snacks, beverages, all instruction, attendance at all classes and ALL art supplies for the week. And many non-essentials – daily happy hour, chocolate (debated which category that fell in), morning Yoga, walks, one-on-one coaching, fireplaces and much more. Tuition does not include your transportation to and from Art Camp. If you fly, you will be responsible for the cost of your airfare plus the shuttle ride to and from Denver International Airport and Snow Mountain Ranch. Visit our Transportation page before booking your airfare.
- *If you sign up for the Blogging with Beth class there will be an additional fee ($85. hosting fee – bring your credit card to pay this fee directly to the online host) and you will need to bring your own laptop computer.
2. What if I don’t like the classes you have offered? We have a wide variety of mixed media classes and instructors. If for some reason you find you do not like the class you signed up for, you will still be able to use the art supplies to work on something else. Or you may spend time hiking, reading or just resting. The grounds where we are staying have other amenities i.e. a swimming pool etc. if you really need something else. We will do our best to make sure that you get taken care of and even have fun - if you make your wants and needs known.
3. How long does it take to get from the airport to Snow Mountain Ranch? It is an approximately 2 1/2 hour, comfortable shuttle ride from Denver International Airport to Snow Mountain Ranch. Enjoy the spectacular mountain scenery and visit with your fellow Campers who will be on the same shuttle as you if they’ve flown to Art Camp. In the Spring and Fall, there is only one shuttle per day – so read our Transportation page before booking your airfare.
4. What happens if my roommate snores? We have earplugs on hand to deal with noise issues. And we will do our best to match you up with a compatible room mate. If it isn’t working for you, just let us know and we will figure it out.
5. What if I get sick at camp? In the case of mild or everyday don’t-feel-good, you can stay in bed and we will take good care of you. In case of something more serious or in case of an accident there is a new and modern hospital in Granby, approximately 10 miles from our lodge.
6. What happens to my deposit if I have to cancel attendance or what if Art Camp for Women cancels the camp? We have a carefully detailed Cancellation Policy that we follow with honesty and good humor. Please read it carefully. We will send you a hard copy once you are registered.
7. What will the weather be like? We all know that weather is unpredictable and this is especially true in the Rocky Mountains. Both spring and fall have cool-to-warm sunny days and chilly nights with chances of light snow. We recommend you bring a warm jacket, pajamas and plan to dress in layers. See our What to Bring page for more details.
8. Will I have Internet access? We know that sometimes you need to connect with home or office and so, yes, there is Internet access at our lodge. Having said that, we STRONGLY encourage you to immerse yourself in Art Camp and give yourself a break from the daily hustle and bustle of life. Your family will appreciate you more after you’ve been away and they’ve had to figure a few things out for themselves…and work will be there when you return. You’ve come to Camp to give yourself uninterrupted creative time so take full advantage of it-you deserve it!
9. What if my question is not answered here? Please e-mail any question, or even a request that we call you, to . We have found this is the most efficient way to get connected quickly.
