Deluxe Art Camp for Women

We are very excited to welcome Carol Sloan as our Guest/Artist Instructor this summer.
Carol will be teaching Bookmaking at our Deluxe Camp, June 7-11, 2012. Deluxe Camp is also the second part of “The Works!” So if you sign up for June “The Works!” Camp you will also be making books with Carol.
Carol is an adventurer and a nature lover and she brings that love of nature into her art and her teaching.
Carol will bring us her artistic expertise along with her bookmaking skills and has been sharing her experimental samples with us to help us decide exactly what the projects should be.

Now in February, Carol has finished the research stage and we have agreed on the specifics for the books we will be making.
She has chosen three different stitches for binding the book in such a way that the book will lie flat when open – so much easier to add further content and journaling – depending what you decide to use your book for.
We have also been exploring (we talk-she innovates-LOL) decorating the papers, the pages, that get included in the book (s).

Through out this exploration, Carol has been gathering resources and ideas and putting them together in such a way that when you go home you will be able to make more books. You will be able to make your very own books, using your favorite binding stitch and customizing them to just the exact size and color that works for you.
